Following me dabbling with the alarm...note to self, if it aint broke and all that...
Is the alarm sounder battery back up? So should it sound when disconnected? As mine doesn't, so maybe that's what the 9 flashed of the led means (battery +)..
Any help much appreciated

Inside the siren, only 4 screws to undo and it pops open, and its connected via a plastic connector a bit like a cordless home phone battery pack.. Its 7.2v 280mah rated, going to order 6 seperate batteries and hash something together and let you know..
I've tested them with a meter and I'm getting decent voltage, so not overly sure that's the problem..

Where's the sounder then?!... I don't think my neighbours would appreciate me looking for the siren with the alarm bleeping!!... I'm sure they get enjoyment enough seeing me under the bonnet all too regularly ;) multi style!!

Its under the bonnet passenger side next to the airbox, tucked into the wing nearly...remove indicator to gain a bit better access and fuse box on top..its held on by 2 10mm nuts...
But I believe there are 2 different versions judging by the eper
