Alarm going off and nothing else works!

Hi, please help. 6 days into owning a 2003 ulysse eleganza. Everything running fine, then..............

Alarm goes off on car. Key fob won't turn it off. No power in car, no indicators flashing with alarm. No lights working and hazards don't light up.

Alarm won't turn off and we have tried all things in the manual etc. The only way to stop the alarm is to disconnect battery.

We have tried a jump starter machine and the display on steering wheel came on but it would not turn over at all. Now the display is not showing anymore.

I presume this means the battery is knackered? Could it be anything else? Immobiliser

Don't know specifics of your vehicle, but my guess would be dying battery. Alarms generally get upset if the battery is disconnected, assuming a theft attempt, so set themselves off using their internal battery, which won't last long, so disconnecting the main battery after a while will silence it.

Another thought while typing. Check the main fuse/fuses (the big fat ones). If one of these pops, power to car will be lost, alarm may see this as a theft attempt.
