when the alarm is set, it takes ages to disarm pressing the button for ages. ive replaced the batteries, it eventually works after about 2 or 3mins of constant holding the button - very frustrating though

what is it that makes the alarm set itself automatically? sometimes it does and sometimes not. i dont want it to, theres that switch under steering column which i dont have the key to...would that just completely turn the alarm system off?

also is there anything that can like reset it maybe to how it used operate like?

my alarm has a mind of its own, most of the time it works but sometimes it just stops working for a week or so.

the switch will turn the alarm off yeah, but will still allow you to remote lock the car.

mine has mind of its own also with the passenger door, use the key in that and it'll send the door lock up and down for a while. when it was working, pressing the button would disarm it and make passenger door lock unlock and lock again but not the drivers!

you say remote lock...do you mean my key fob should unlock the car when pressed stood away from the car because mine only works with key in lock and the button for unalarming.

bump - whats the proper battery code for the keyfobs? just to check they havent given me the wrong ones
