General Airintake bracket broken..

Hey

My air intake hose on my punto sporting is just dangling off, seems to be the bracket has snapped, i had this problem when i first bought the car, and the dealer had fixed it, but obviously now its going to cost me, so do i need it ? or is there any easy way i can fix it, without having to buy the full new intake hose ? or could i stick one of those little vent filters you can get from halfords on it ?

Get some two-part epoxy and repair your original bracket Epoxy sets stronger and faster the hotter you can get it, so do the repair after a run so the engine bay is warm.

The advantage of epoxy over superglue is that it is stronger, and will fill any slight gaps in the join. As soon as it is set, it will be as strong as the original.

B&Q, you will probably pay a little over the odds for epoxy. Wilkinsons is probably a better bet. I got lucky and dropped onto some UHU epoxy in Poundland once.

UHU or Araldite definitely make goo quality two-part epoxies.

update..

i tried this epoxy, it worked. but then about an hour later it snapped off again, so i think im going to need the full new hose, anyone know where i could get one ? and prices please ?
