Aircon Re-gas??

My aircon hasn't worked since i bought the car a couple o months ago (mk2 bravo 1.8 hlx).... the guy i bought it off said it just needed regassing but obviously can't be sure... it works i think but only very very slightly and can only just notice the difference between that and the fans... but might be kidding myself

Seeing as it's getting hotter virtually dayly... How much would i be looking at to get this done? presume it's not a job you can do yourself?

Also does anyone know anywhere good for it around derbyshire??

A re-gas will cost you IRO £50. Some places charge a little more. I believe Kwik Fit do it for £45. It's not something you can do yourself unless you have the specialist machinery and of course the gas.

You may also want to get it disinfected at the same time. If it's been sat there that long, chances are some kind of mould or mildew will have set in and this will make it smell badly. A clean usually costs about £50 too.

Set aside £100 to do the job properly

Just checked and halfords and to a refil and a clean for 50 quid wich seems good so might just go there....
