Hi guys,

Dropped something on the floor of the car yesterday and when I put my hand on the passenger front carpet to pick it up the carpet was very damp/wet near the centre console.
My car was one of the models listed as part of the recall for the condensate drain problem leaking onto airbag module but I don't have a record of this being done, can Fiat tell me from a database ???
My question is where underneath is this pipe, is it metal or rubber and could I clean it out myself or could this be something else like the heater matrix ?
Thanks for any advice forthcoming.

The heater matrix pipes stick out the front bulkhead near the top to the left side.

If it is leaking the heater matrix probably needs replacing.

Thanks for the reply Fran.
Had it checked at the garage today. Took the cover off centre console on passenger side, clip on one at feet and it does not smell or taste of coolant but fresh condensate.
Can feel a drain pipe but could not find an outlet for it under the car. Is it hidden behind any heat shields? Thought it would have been fairly visible as I seem to recall there has usually been a small puddle towards the drivers side once the car is turned off and the condensate continues to drain after the A/C being on.
How difficult is a heater matrix to change on these anyway.
Thanks Fran.

The pipe you felt is probably the cooler feed to the can compartment, don't recall seeing any drains out the floor thinking about it.

If you join my Facebook group I can post a picture of the unit if it helps.

Joined it earlier this evening, looks like it should garner enough info across all the variants.
Will get to having a closer inspection at the weekend when I'm not doing family taxi duties.
