The other issue that I need to deal with on the Punto is the airbag light.
Tried phoning the local Fiat dealer today... they wouldn't pick up so I tried the next nearest (Research Garage, Nuneaton) and talked to their parts guy.
He said they had the airbag switch loom modification in stock and said that Fiat had put the price up from about 20 quid to 54 quid.
For a bit of wire and a few connectors??
I've seen prices like 8 quid mentioned on here but not sure what the magic recipe is to get that price... or if it's even possible now.
I've looked on ebay by keyword and by parts 51786225 (the old one) and 71777054 (new one) but got nothing relevant whatever I tried. Some other parts finder web sites came up with similar prices to the dealer.
Will try some other local dealers tomorrow to see if they will A) pick up the phone and B) give me a better answer but I'm not optimistic.
Maybe time to get the soldering iron out and add my own extra earth wire into the existing loom?
