Any inherent problems with any of the above?
Earlier this year the airbag warning light on my Bravo 1998 1.4 SX came on and stayed on (was not accident triggered) Fiat dealership said airbag was gone and would have have to be replaced. This was done at € 400+ cost.
Now 7 weeks later , light is back on?
What's causing this? Is there an ongoing problem ? Looking for ammo before I go to the dealer and get him to repair it at HIS cost this time

Thanks

Being a safety feature the Airbag system is self diagnosing - mine has had a couple of moments where it had to stay lit after the initial key in the ignition phase. I just turned it off and started again - no light. If it stays on there will usually be a fault, maybe in a sensor. I don't envy your task if you are taking it back to FIAT. After €400 i'd be pretty annoyed too :(

sorry - just asking again - anyone else got anything in relation to this

Very Last ask !

So there is no problem with Bravo airbags/warning lights/sensor ? I have just been unlucky ? Right?

Re: Very Last ask !

Hey Kev...I had this exact same problem, my local spannerman said it was the airbag controller box underneath the passenger seat...had that replaced and the light went off, cost me €300. Two days later I had to drive to Dublin, on the way back the light came on again. I took it back in to Fiat...they hooked up their diagnostic box of tricks and it turned out to be the airbag sensor in the front passenger seat. Local spanner man replaced it for me, which cost him another €300. everything seems fine now.

Re: Very Last ask !

mine came on after having some work done on the car involving the battery being disconnected for a few hours. A quick plug into a diagnostic machine and a 2 second reset by the nice man at my local specialist and it was off and stayed off. Not bad for £10!

My airbag light is also in "stuck on mode" in my 20v marea weekend, had it tested by Fiat, and the usual fiat answer (not reu what it is) and yes thats £800000000 for the service by the way.

I just ignore it now, its coming up to xmas.. so the extra red light looks good.

Take it to a fiat specialist with the suitable diagnostics, they are passionate about italian cars and know what they are talking about. If you local fiat dealer is anything like mine they are lazy, rude and don't care about the cars or the customers once they've sold the car. If there is no profit in them fixing something i'm sure they wouldn't bother. Scum.
