Hi all. found a guy who will reset airbag fault for free in two seconds but we cant find the connection to plug his gadget into. we found ecu connection but not airbag ecu. anyone know where it is??

Don't quote me on this but i think it's behind a panel in the driver's footwell somewhere. Possibly forward of the centre console.

id be pretty worried if some guy said he could fix a fault with an airbag for free and then didnt know where to stick his gadget lol!!!

Ok well not exactly for free! i had clutch done etc and he said that he looked everywhere and the fiat book described where it was but it wasnt to be found. he thought that the illustration was of the MK2 when i have MK1! so he said if i find it he will do it free of charge with his magic "gadget yolk!!"

just looked in the haynes manual. it says the airbag control unit is located under the centre of the facia. Maybe a connection there?

Hello,
if there are two 3 pin connectors near the top of the drivers side shock, one of these may be the airbag. the engine diagnostics is sometimes plugged into a little cover with PCD marked on it. Otherwise, I think there is a connector behind the removable back panel in the glovebox. try that one too. I couldnt talk to my airbag ECU on any of these though

How would i access that? i mean if its inside the central console? there is a tray just behind the handbrake the removes so maybe ill look there

You just remove the plates in front of the centre console - left and right
