Technical AIRBAG LIGHTS

Hi, we have just bought a lovely 500X, the airbag button on the centre of the dash is always on, what is this for, should it always be on?

Also the airbag red light stays on on the dial on the right hand side and on the centre dial we get a 'check airbag' warning, is this a worn sensor, loose connection or something more serious.

There are 3 seat belts lights which only go green if all 3 of the rear seatbelts are engaged, is this normal?

It is potentially serious, did you buy from a garage?
It is an MOT failure.
Do you know the history of vehicle, has it been in an accident?
If any form of warranty I would take it back.
Failing that get a good code reader like MES or take to a diagnostic company to read the error fault codes.
It can be something small, but equally if Airbag system not working can be very dangerous.
