i dont think it is with the rest of the fuses

thanks a mill

fuses

There isn't one !

I had to remove my steering wheel because one of my stalks broke. Spoke to fiat before hand and they confirmed that there is no fuse.

wrong

your lying because there is a fuse, its in a little seperate fuse holder above the fuse board under the dash! i know this because i was looking for an electrical fault with the lights and pulled this fuse out, now the airbag light is on all the time at the moment.

Re: wrong

promise ya, there is no fuse.

The haynes manual says when removing the steering wheel, remove the fuse for the airbag.

I looked everywhere for one and couldn't find it. Phoned a couple of dealers and they both confirmed there isn't one !

Re: Re: wrong

Found it, the fuse is in a asmall fuse box above
the main fuses.

The fuses is intact but they airbag light is still on!
Anyone any idea's why it would still be on?

on any known faults with this?

thanks

Re: Re: Re: wrong

the airbag ecu has a fault registered on it, you need to go to fiat or someone with the technology to find out wots wrong and to reset the unit

how can I recignize which one is the airbag fuse, there are a lot of fuses there..?

According to haynes it's the middle one on the top row of the fuse box...or at least where 'top' is the edge with the elongated edge.

o------ 11 - 9 - 1 - 10 - 13
14 - 15 - 5 - 3 - 2
12 - 4 - 8 - 7 - 6

Hopefully, if that comes out right it's a diagram of the fuse box. The airbag (among other things) is the fuse labelled 1.

Bear in mind that the fuse box may be the other way up as mine is. use the o------ as marker. Sorry that's not very clear but have a look and you might see what i'm getting at.

I've taken the airbag/steering wheel twice and the warning light stayed off. A few months later the battery ran flat and the warning light came on.

That didn't quite work...Imagine the two bottom rows of the diag shifted along so the line up with the top line. forming a box of fuses with a bit 'sticking out at one edge. maybe someone with a camera can get a picture...
