Hello, had a read on my car for airgab light and it came up with these codes 3c02 and 3c09 which is lh front inpact sensor short circuit , im trying to find where it is and try cleaning them but im unsure where it is? Did anybody had same issue? I found one of rhe sensors front middle of the car, tried disconnect it but didn't work, used contact cleaner on outside and in the gaps. If anybody knows where it is or had same issue and managed to fix it please let me know as the airbag light is very annoying.

Looking for the erth cable for these inpact sensors would it be going from ecu? Also does anybody know where the airbag ecu is hidden in the car? Would like to check all connectors.

Im still unable to locate that left hand crash sensor that has a short circuit , as I mentioned before the front one is clearly visible and looks as its operating fine. As the problem was only coming up and then clearing agian. Will have to spend a bit more time next weekend trying to sort it out. Any chance could this be a faulty airbag ecu ?

The only sensor that could be described as "lh front inpact sensor" would be the side impact sensor fitted inside the left "B" pillar. There's also a right side impact sensor inside the right "B" pillar.

The airbag control ECU is located under the centre console covering in front of the gearstick, almost underneath the heater.
.

So in front there is only 1 crash sensor thats visible. So I should find an inpact sensor in b pillar that where the seatbelt adjuster. Does the ecu or and the sensor have earth wires as well as my code shows short circuit?

The ECU has its own dedicated earth connection.

The side impact sensors are just impact activated switches that connect to the ECU. It's not clear from the wiring diagram whether they switch a positive or negative signal.
.

That means that it has to be the connector issue thats causing it to short circuit and bring that error, thanks for the help , will try it and fix it on friday and update it with good or bad news. Hopefully its only unplugged or dirty connector that can be easily fix.

Disconnect the battery and wait at least 20 minutes before disturbing any airbag related connectors.

Yep did that, removed plastic covers from the pillar and found 1 crash sensor and 1 yellow connection disconnected them both and cleaned it with contact cleaner waited till it dried out and connected everything back but the airbag light is still on. Any other possible solutions for this?

Is there any more crash/inpact sonsors in passenger side ? As the connectors looks clean and dry. Is there anything under passenger seat? Under the carpet?

these crash sensors are they sensitive and can become faulty easily? Tried looking under the carpet and around b pillar but nothing. Might need to go in to garage and see if they can find the fault.

No... as I posted above:

No... they are very robust and seldom go faulty.
.

Does this code need to be cleared for the light to go off?

For airbag fault codes, I think it does.
.

But the passenger seat sensor when it fixed it goes away on its own without clearing the fault. Might need to to do another diagnostic to see if they can clear the fault. Its a bit strange with this airbag fault as its quite difficult to sort it out. Thanks for the help.
