I have had, for couple of weeks, a warning in my Stilo, "AIRBAG FAILURE - STOP ENGINE". After reading some of the threads here, i sprayed some CRC in the orange connectors over right rear wheel and under passenger seat... and also to the connectors on the opposite side, which were, for some reason, not mentioned. No effect. I borrowed an OBD reader from a friend, it found only one code, which was fuel level sensor fault, which appeared few months ago. No code for register light bulb, which i changed only one week ago (not too easy, since italian engineers in their great wisdom had used tiny phillips screws in a place where rust is most likely to appear) , and no code for this airbad fault???? -I wonder why it screams for register light, but keeps quiet about headlight...-Last weekend i drove Her Hiness indoors while washing Her, and in that process She warmed herself over +10 degrees, so winter conditions should not be a problem. Is there any other chance than professional help?

One thing i can confirm for you. Broken dipped beam won't show up on the dash. The idea is that you'll miss the light (either in the dark or in the reflection of the car in front of you) pretty soon.
2 sidelights or rearlights (on one side) out and there's your warning.

Does not work here in northern Europe... No darkness in summer, so you dont notice it unless you see a reflection in a large window... Designed for Italian latitude :)

Not many standard OBD readers will connect to Italian cars / ECUs. You need a specific one, like FiatECUScan (we call it FES) at www.fiatecuscan.net, you can get a great bundle from www.gendan.co.uk with all you need. It will pay itself back after two ECU readouts - or in Norway, after one.
OBD reader manual says that cars from 1996 to 2002 have OBDII and from2002 have EOBD, and this reader is compatible with both. ( CR-101, sold by Biltema). It found code for fuel level fault... damn, should i buy an 80's car, they were so simple... :D

Biltema... Hehe. You might get to the engine's ECU, but forget the airbags. Biltema works on older Volvos.

OBD-II is the North American standard, that came in from 1996 (and only applies to cars sold in North America).
The EU standard is EOBD, which came in from 2001 for petrol, 2004 for diesel (and only applies to cars registered from new within the EU).

Both of those are only engine management diagnostic standards though - neither cover other systems like airbags, ABS etc.
Like Morty Mort said, you need something Fiat-specific like FiatECUScan.
