I've been told a missfire on my Bravo HGT 155 when cold might be the Air Flow Sensor, does anyone know if these are easy to fit? Or clean? Does anyone have one for sale or are aware of any other sensors like this on the HGT that could cause a missfire?

A dodgy coil pack could also cause this and most likely.

I bet you have a nice pool of oil around the first coil pack. Take off the cover and remove the coil pack nearest the oil filler cap and have a look.

Yeah I thought that as well, however I had all 5 sparks replaced with Bosch super plugs, plus I had all 5 coils checked, all came out perfectly fine when tested and no oil around any of the coils. So I called Angel Tuning, they said its most likely one of the sensors which monitor air and fuel, it could be clogged up or just needs replacing. The car runs fine after this, only if you put your foot down, it might hesitate, but its random, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Cheers for your reply Wimmy.

If it is the MAF, then they are easy to remove, just don't expect them to be cheap..

Fiat will charge about £180 all in for one, and stay well away from the cheap £30 Ebay ones..

They are available elsewhere for a slightly cheaper price though..

There is a cleaning guide on the site courtesy of Sven which might help....but expect to pay out for a new one though...

Cheers Mark, I just went to go and clean the sensor, but my current screw set does have the right size, but without a hole in the middle, so it wont fit on the screw. I will go and buy and try this. Cheers for your response. Hope this works. Do you think a diagnostic test might be the way to go?
