This must be a different type of EGR valve as most do not seem to have a flow sensor the ECU light being triggered by the valve sticking or failing; a blanking plate with hole(s) just the right size to prevent the sensor triggering should work,,,,
It looks like a standard Pierburg EGR. Picture attached. It was £45 on eBay. £45 I should have spent as soon as the problem started before Christmas. Would have saved me £700! But there you go!
Fitted it yesterday and after a days driving the Engine Management light went out. It didn't clear straight away after I cleared it using Torque.
Now on to the next problem, a hissing brake booster. Oh the fun of motoring!
