air filter inlet size ?

I'm sure one of you knowledgable types on here can help me with this one.
I have a 1.8 HLX and am trying to find out what the air filter/box inlet size is, I have an idea that it is 71mm as I believe this has been discussed on here before, can anyone confirm or correct me on this ?

Best way to find out is take the air box off (simple job) and measure the pipe with a set of calipers. If you can't get hold of a set - any garage should be able to help you out - just bung em a couple of quid. I have a HGT and I'm not too sure if they are the same size or not - I needed a 65mm collar on the filter I bought.

i'm not sure than all motors have the same dimensions...
your hgt is a 5 cilynders (glups) and all the orthers are 4 cilynders so dimension are diferent betwenn 1l6, 1l8, 1l2 and 1l4

I know that's why I said it may not be the same. Best way is to measure it or give K&N or somebody a call and they should hold specs on this motor......
