Hi to all...
I've only just this minute joined the forum and think this is such a wonderful place. I searched my simple question with no avail, so thought I would post.
I have a Fiat Doblo Cargo 19 diesel on a 52 plate that I require to change the air filter and would kindly oblige for someone to describe how I get into the canister box to remove the old and replace the new.
Is it nessersary to get underneath to do the job, or can I do it all from the top?
Thank you for any input anyone can give me...

Kind regards

John

It can just be done from above if you have time and patience to remove the screws slowly with a short 7 or it may be an 8mm spanner.
It will pull out just and no more.
If you have a ramp it can be done from below.
Patience is the key word here!(y)

Hi ya topcat5, thank you for your reply to my now simple question. I've done the air cleaner job and what a difference it's made. I'm not at all proud to say that I have done coming up 50,000 mls with out renewing the air cleaner, I should be ashamed of myself I know.
My doblo is still performing rather bad right now with eratic tick over. Although after saying that I've just put some stp diesel injector treatment in her in quarter of a tank and reved the bolox out of her to get it well through and it does seem to be clearing up better, still not perfect but seems to be coming.
Just before I added the additive, I was at a stage where she refused to start at all. Was firing, racing up, then just dying to a stop, several times before catching her on the throttle and eventually keeping her going, just as if she is fuel starved to me, air in the system or something. Like I say Iv'e give it a good run yesterday evening with this fuel additive and things seem much better. TOPCAT5 can you tell me if the non turbo 19d doblo has a EGR valve? I think the answer is yes it does as I think I have located it, but just want it verifying before I start to dismantle. The silver concentina type pipe that goes to it from the exhaust manofold remains cold even when I've just sat at 90 mph on the motorway, does that tell us anything at all??
Looking forward to any input that you have on my problem...HAPPY NEW YEAR to you also buddy...

John
