I have replaced my factory radio & now it won't work unless ignition is on, what happened to permanent live
No idea what that means but glad you got sorted.Changed + ignition & + permanent over & memory is now sorted

Cheers bud, I hate the wireless & never use it anymore as the buggers on it don't play any tunes, they just keep on yapping.Normally a radio will have two live wires. One is continuous live and the other on the ignition. Ignition live will turn radio off with the ignition and the continuous will be remembering radio selections, CD tracks or even the 20 minute mode some radios have when the ignition is off (ignition off override)

On a lighter note, back in the day, I had two 1982 Uni-track 750's, red & black one's, they both handled like camels.
Before that, I had a red Uni-track 550 which I loved, had a Harris pipe, K&N's & Goodrich hosing.
Funk me, you could ground the header pipes going around right-hand corners fulla beer coming back from rallies.
Happy memories, me Ma musta been saying some prayers for me back in the 80's.
