Technical Aftermarket Mirrors

I have just bought some baseplates for my Mk2 5 door to put some aftermarkt mirrors on. How do the baseplates fix to the car?

I know there are 3 holes which Im guessing are to screw the mirror to, but how do you fix it to the car?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Judging by what was said on puntomk2, you're probably best colour coding your existings.
