General Aerial base?

I lost the aerial from my Cinq sporting and have bought a new one on Ebay. The problem is that the aerial I bought from Ebay has a male screw and so does the base (it did say it would fit cinquecento...). Is it possible to remove the screw from the base or do i have to get an aerial with a female fitting?

Funny man. I knew it was a mistake to use those terms...

but they are the techincal terms unfortunatly.. you should see the people with "cock" issues on the forum
