General advise please

just bought a 56 plate 1.3 multijet.is this a turbo intercooled engine as the dealer says they are just a commonrail diesal no turbo...also i was given 2 blue keys ,should i have a red key and is there an imobiliser built into the blue key

we have an 05 1.3 multijet family and it does have a turbo and im sure it has an intercooler as well plus they have a 16v head, we only have two blue keys with ours, and ours does have an imobiliser.

Yes the 1.3multijet engine has a intercooled turbo.

As far as I know you should have 2 blue keys, one with the button on to open the door and the other a plain one. Don't loose the plain one as this is used to program other keys should you loose the main one with the button on. Also I don't think you're supposed to use the plain one, it is just for programming other keys/emergencies.

All cars post 1998 (I think I've got the year right) have immobilisers as standard, it was made that all car manufacturers had to fit them after this date to try to cut down on car crime.

ive now been told the engine is a turbo supercharged engine.
i dont have central locking so i just have 2 plain blue keys

I think you mean intercooled??? Unless you have the fastest Doblo ever

looking in the engine spec in the current broshure it says its a supergharged intercooled engine??

It could be supercharged rather than turbo charged. You'd get the extra power right through the rev range, no lag. VW have a Diesel with a turbo and a supercharger.

Ah right I see, it's probably one or the other but not both or it would be a rocket machine

It would be interesting to find out if it is supercharged, I guess if it says it is in the book then it is!

yes its a supercharged intercooled engine,they have dropped the turdo intercooled engine in the 1.3 multijet..
does seem to go well for a 1.3
