Hi George here,
I own a Dethleffs Premium class Motorhome fiat Ducati 2.8tdi 2005 plate.
I currently have a problem with my fuel gauge.
I have had the cluster repaired, however my gauge is still reading full when I know it is almost empty. I have been informed that it may be the sender, however I do not know how to locate access on my van, any help much appreciated.
By the way it’s a LHD.

Get under van , find fuel tank, find sender unit, if it is on top of tank look for underside of an access panel , if you can not see access panel then the tank has to come out.

I'm working from memory here,so forgive me if I'm misleading you, but I think that, on that vintage of 'van, the fuel lift pump and sender are accessible by removing a flattish screwed-down plastic cap in the centre of the cab floor.

This gives access to the top of the tank, and the sender pump unit can be removed by unscrewing from the top of the tank.

George,

I believe that the base vehicle for your MH is a Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD. (I think that a Ducati is a motorbike.)

On my 2006 Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD the access plate for the fuel lift pump and gauge sender unit, (as mentioned above by Hugh) is in front of the right hand half of the LHS seat, (driver's seat in your case)

If your vehicle is an "A Class" and was constructed using a chassis cowl, and the converter has not provided access, you may have to drop the tank, as suggested by Jackwhoo.
