Technical Adding front park sensors

Hi, I would like to know if possible adding front bumper parking sensors.
My questions are:
1) are parking sensors universals (I mean, Fiat sensors are specific for FIAT or could I buy and use aftermarket sensors instead original ones?)?

2) is the electronic circuiti specific for only 4 sensors or could I add someway 4 front sensors?

By the way, can anyone tell me where is placed the control unit of parking sensors? Thanks.

The parking sensor control unit is at the rear of the car, as you look in the boot it is behind the LH carpeted trim panel. There is a spare connector block on the module, suggesting that connection of another set of sensors is possible, however the wiring loom is Fiat-specific so for the sake of simplicity I would suggest using an aftermarket set of sensors in the front bumper with a switch inside the car to control them (so they don't trigger in traffic queues etc) or else get the type which has a mute button.

An aftermarket set will be much cheaper and will also come with the correct hole saw for installing the sensors.

Indeed - don't they come as standard in all ... humans? Certainly everyone I've ever met has had eyes ... :shrug:
