General Accessing Siri via blue & me

Everything I've read says that you have to hold down the home button on the iPhone to activate Siri. You can't activate it by pressing the Windows button on your steering wheel etc.

Is that what you were asking about?

I have a Parrott bluetooth kit in my Merc which I used with an old sony ericsson phone, you would send your contacts via bluetooth to the kit and then you can voicedial etc. I then changed my phone to an iphone 5 and typically with Apple you cannot send contacts via bluetooth so I could not use the kit as designed however what does happen now with the iphone is if I press the call button on the Parrott it no longer prompts you for a voice tag but instead it activates Siri so you just say 'Call Joe' and it rings the number. Also it works for all Siri functions so you can ask it too read a text or you can also dictate and send a text which is neat. AFAIK you cannot avail of all these features on B&M so I just thought it would be good if there was a way to activate Siri as it does everything you would need. I was initially disappointed the iphone dident work properly with the Parrott but now I thinks it's ideal as you can access so many functions via Siri.
