Hi guys I'm having acceleration problems with my Weekend 2.4 JTD W plate. It's like being in a kangeroo's pouch and is really bloody annoying! I've read various threads and wondered if it could be the Throttle Position sensor or the Throttle potentiometer? I've had a look myself and can see a cylinder shaped unit behind the accelerator pedal, couple of bolts with locking nuts and wires entering the back. Backing breaking just locating it so need to know that I'm looking in the right place. Any advice would be much appreciated, cheers Matt

If I were you I would disconnect the MAF sensor see if that makes any difference. Then I would clean the MAP sensor and then the EGR, instead of cleaning that you could put a blank plate in instead of the gasket see if theres any difference.

I've just disconnected the MAF sensor and took it for a spin and it drove like an old dog. I reconnected the sensor and at first it held back and then took off like a rocket. You could feel it trying to hold back a little bit but not as bad as before. I've cleaned the sensor up and will see if that helps but it's looks like the MAF itself's probably faulty.
