Hi All,

I am wondering if somebody can help with a problem that I have with my engine:

When the engine is cold, only for around 30 seconds, I have good response to fully pressing the gas pedal.

After that, if I push quickly the gas pedal the engine tends to stop when the car is not moving. If the car is moving and I press the pedal quickly, the car hesitates for a few moments and after that it takes speed.

The symthomps seem to be less when the engine temperature is higher, and the throttle response time to be smaller when the temperature is slightly above the normal.

The only thing I have fixed is the fuel injecting pressure which was a little lower than normal because of the decalibrated pressure regulator.

My car is not Fiat Uno, but the injection system is the same, so maybe someone can help me with an advice.

Thanks.

Read out the fault memory of your motor management unit.
Maybe a sensor has dropped out.
A faulty butterfly valve sensor causes a lot of trouble too.
By the way. What model do you have?

It's a Motronic MA1.7.

The difference between this and the Fiat is that my unit has the ignition part into the ECU.
