Technical AC not running cold

Just had my car in the garage for an AC recharge as it was blowing warm, they've told me that even though they can hear the compressor doing bits, there's no leaks and when recharged it's still not blowing cold air, if I switch it to the hot air then it will blow out warm air so I'm a little bit clueless where to start with this now

I'm not being funny but what sort of garage does an AC re-charge and then doesn't know how to proceed if it doesn't sort the problem ????????????

It does feel like a **** take because it's a chain garage, thankfully they haven't charged me for today and said that when I fix the issue then they'll recharge, gonna hopefully take it to my local independent mechanic since he actually has a clue what's going on
