Curious to learn of your own experiences guys.

Picadilly Ripon (Fiat) are quoting me £147 fot Abarth lowering springs (coincidentally the same price I've managed to find online for the Eibach ones! - including also delivery!! AND they might yet give FMCGB members discount too!!!).

Now looking at my HGT, the rear currently sits noticeably higher than the front (but besides allowing for loading ie.persons, my fuel tank isn't full at the mo either).

Thing is, Fiat tell me that the Abarth kit should effectively lower the front 29mm and the rear only 14mm! This strikes me as a bit odd.

Than again, if each spring in any (Eibach or other) kit is identical ie. no differenciation front to rear, then actually I suppose it stands to reason that the front will be comprssed more under the loading.

Perhaps if I follow remarks made previously about loading the back after indstallation, whilst the springs are still settling, this might even out the reduction..??

For the record, Eibach springs are abarth springs! but abarth have reboxed them....

My car has abarth springs on it and they have Eibach writen all over them! They are supposidly the best spring you can buy for the car, as far as i know! Hence they are the only springs fiat recommend!

I have Eibach springs on my car and the gap between the tyre and wheel arch on the front passenger side seems to smaller than on the other side.

Don't know much about the comparisions between front and rear.
I know it handles a lot better round corners though!

Paul, did you find that your car handles any better with the new springs on? Also how much of a problem is it with the car being lowered over speed bumps?

Ben.

I'm amazed that the Fiat Dealer is as competative as cheapest internet prices for Eibach (AKA Abarth!)

Well, cheapest internet actually £136, but add £11 delivery, same price (am convinced however, this online shop hasn't updated their prices cos they still beat the rest hands down at £136!)

I had the Abarth lowering kit on my HGT, and it handled superbly. The only trade off was the firmer, and therefore slightly bumpier ride. It handled remarkably well for a car that size and of that weight.

I have never driven a bravo which hasnt been lowered! so can not say...both cars i have bought have been lowered from new!

Ride is not that bad by any standards...never ever had any rubbing, but i do slow down for speed bumps!
