Anyone see the write up in Practical Classics on the Strada Abarth 120? I think?

Not heard much on the Strada range, most rusted away now but as far as I remember wasnt this the first "Built by Robots" car from FIAT?

Good example in the write up and seems to be a corking buy for anyone wanting a real classic FIAT with go.

Anyone got one / Had one?

Yep I've got a couple of Strada Abarths 130 TC (as in 130bhp Twin-Cam). Also known as the Rimto outside the Uk and due to return in NZ/Australia as the new Bravo.

The Strada was the "built by robots" car, the advert can be found on YouTube and many have rusted away, rot was still a major issue for Fiat at this time. There is also a cool advert where they drive the cars onto a moving transporter.

Finding a decent one will be a challenge and unless you're committed and willing to shell out time and money keeping them in good order will be difficult. Everything said in PC is correct.

Cheers thepottleflump! I cant get one unfortunately, I was just grabbed by the old Carb technology and the short inlet tracts to aid fast engine pick-up. I make do with a 1.9 GP Sporting at the mo but really do miss twiddling with mixtures and timong lol! Shame so many cool cars just slipped away... the Lancia Delta Integrale, mainly held by real enthusiasts now cracking kit! The Lancia Stratos, still used by Classic Rall fans I guess, and odd-balls like the Metro Turbo, sh*te car in their day but probably worth a punt for cheapish kicks now? I really lusted after an Alfasud tii when they came out but the rust worm got most of those as well.
