Im getting kind of pee'd off with my bravo only 5 weeks old

Ive got the suspension knock which they are side stepping

Ive had a boot full of water which was a grommet missing, but now ive got a damp smell in car

But now when driving in the outside lane of a motorway at 70-mph a loud whining noise starts. It was really loud like a wheel bearing whining but LOUD!!!

I presswed the clutch and let the revs die down but still it was there as loud as ever and had trouble getting pulled over into the side lane as the car on my inside was matching my rolling speed and I had a car up my rear

Anyway I get her over eventually and as i get below 50mph the noise dies down so I carry on but each time i get to 55mph it starts again. i got to my destination ok and on the run home there was no noise

Anyone else had this problem?

I'm sorry to hear you've been having a bad time with your car.

Does the noise sound like its coming from a wheel or the engine bay? (or something else?)
I understand that it's hard to detect this, as when your going 70mph theres a hell of a lot of wind and road noise that would mask it quite a lot. But if you can work it where it's coming from, that would help!

I hope its not had a bash before buying Stilo its only 5 weeks old

Talked to my dealer today and his mechanic has just come back from a fiat course and he say theres a problem with wheel bearings

It was a wheel bearing kind of noise I had and it was real LOUD, could hardly hear he missus shoutin at me:mad:

Its back at the dealers tommorrow with a note saying i dont want it back unless the knock is also fixed

Got my car back after over 4 weeks in the garage.

Nothing could be found so Fiat sent out a expert who found a stone lodged in between the brake caliper and the disc.

Obviously when i got fast enough it started squeeling on the disc

It took so long because of the bad weather but the dealer was very good about it all

It was great to get back in my 150 sport after the basic 1.4, mine is just so much plusher :slayer:
