I searched long and hard on how to fit the classic AA badge and club membership badges onto the grille on my new 500c... Nothing Zip Nada! So I decided to have a look myself- obviously not having long thin arms like a baboon, coming from the top wasn't going to happen... To be honest I think the baboon would've needed pipe cleaner arms! Coming from underneath there's the huge plastic flat sill with torc screws all over it... So... I examined the lower grill itself, and looked at that online... To discover it pops out!
I simply pushed gently but firmly at the top right corner and worked my way to the left, repeated at the bottom- the grille came out easily- there's a wire clipped along the bottom inner edge (fog light wire maybe?), but there's some give in it and to do what I wanted enough- the two badges have long thin bolt type screws on the back (or screw through) with small metal pieces on the rear to hold them in place. Simply pushed them through the honeycomb, made sure they were level and right way up (!) and tightened everything up.
Putting the grille back on- top edge seemed to need to be done first- was a little fiddly, there are three plastic tangs (is that the word) to line up and several clips, again, gentle and firm and they went back, same across the bottom- job done, maybe 20 minutes, and a decent cushion to sit on.
I'm not as pleased as I would be if they were on a proper badge bar- but I don't think that's allowed, and at least they're on the car- if I'd put them on the other side there's a blank piece across part of the grille- do I don't think it affects anything.
