ive got a janspeed already on my abarth and ive just took the centre box off and replaced it with a pipe, i was wondering what else can i do, i no decating it will help but i cant find a modified manifold and that,

its already got a throaty deep sound wen its 3000-4000 revs but i want it to pop on and bang

any suggestions that will work?

cheers

I had a miltek cat back on my sei- sounded like a beast! would turn heads- but it wasnt the disgusting chavvy type!

When I added the GSR induction that just made it the little better...

Downside- exhaust alone cost £510 but was amazing!

nice mate,
weyiii thats a canny bit of dosh lol, i was thinking anuva option was trying to make mysel a homemade straight through pipe

You could always just go for the "out the side" approach. Cov69 ran his 1.2 16v sei with a modified exhaust (consisting of just the front sliencer section, and pipe out to the side) that came out just below the drivers side door. sounded sexy but that was on a 1.2 16v engine.

Thanks

i have a custom exhaust and its raspy as no bass at all sounds the dogs! turns heads when you push the loud pedal but quite as a puppy the rest...

but defo wanna just get a cherry bomb on that bad boy! i have one in my garden tooo.....

(got it free with my 1242 engine!!! - fitted it for a day might even of been a hour and laughed my arse off at the noise.... loud as!! oh and its the glasspacked one too )

cheers

on my first punto 1108 i did decat de silencer the lot with a rage 4" jap style straight through back box and F**K me was it loud my friends could here me coming from 3 miles away i lost what little performance it had but it sounded the nuts, although motor way runs were bad as it was loud all the time no matter what revs lol

id get rid of the janspeed, thats as close to a standard exhaust noise you can get

Get something custom, then you can instruct them how loud you want it

or get a sportex exhaust if you have a cinq, you will be deaf within the year

I've recently paid £200 for a stainless steel cat back system with the intermediate box removed from Longlife.
Considering a Janspeed or Supersprint rear box is £160ish I felt that was pretty good deal.

drop me a pm with where in the contry you are and ill try and dig it out... you can probably just have it fella. needs welding though as i sawed the pipe in half. silencer is ok though

clock34 lad ave pm you,

in the hood weyii, geordie lad more like it, ha,

ive always looked into putting a 1.2 engine in like but am doing alevels at the min so money is hard to get lol and i cant find a good cheap 1.2 with low mileage, how much would you reckon to convert it all together?

also anyone na where to them negative camber things?

camber bolts are a waste of time and money..
best way is to elongate the bottom strut bolt hole.
put a thick washer on either side.
now take the car and get the camber and tracking done.
once your home you can put a spot of weld on the washers.

doing it this way should be stronger then camber bolts and more accurate if you ever have to remove a strut(y)

Can't agree, mine were well worth the money. I don't feel confident in extending the holes on the suspensions parts.

What if you want to change the camber setting? Undo the weld, remove washers, weld up the struct then start again ?

For the price of £20, i'd go for the camber bolts. I have it set to the maximum negative cambers (-1.75), so if it does needs to come off, I will know my tracking is done to the maximum.
