Shame its for a filthy cable broadband connection. I'll stick to my hacked Netgear .
.really good, never had any issues with it. The access restrictions worked a treat for disconnecting annoying people from the network too

I wish I could get that fast
Were on an 8MB package, but the local exchange has a nervous breakdown at 3.3MB :bang:, before anyone says anything about moving packages, it was a free upgrade years ago and is dirt cheap

That is exactly the same router I use, version 1.1 but running the DD-WRT firmware
stu where are those speeds tested from? cant be from a home broadband connection?

i use my current adsl2 router (bebox / rebranded speedtouch) to wireless connect to my pc, and it is also cat5'd to the xbox. If i leave the pc downloading, there isnt enough wireless bandwidth left over to properly stream video to the xbox

You got the spec of the WAN port arc? My RP114 only has a 10mbit half duplex WAN port so is causing a bottleneck

ah fair enough, i was going to say, I want to know what isp your on if your getting those speeds on your home pc!
thats a problem with virgin media, upload on virgin is one of the worst in the country. Download is pretty good tho.
thats mine, not too good, Thats straight from modem running a cat5e cable.

Yeah, that is nearly line speed though!
But when do I need upload on my home PC :shrug: that is what the server is for
my upload is 1.3mbit
