My sorry tale starts with getting a flat battery as I should of replaced it sooner. Having replaced the battery I then got my ECU light flashing and cooling fan running almost constantly. I drove the car like this for a week until I was told about the "Phonic Wheel Learn", problem solved :)
The next day my cooling fan started making horrible noise and running slower than normal, so out came the WD40 until I could source a new one. on the way home from work Temperature light came on fan was still running slow engine smelling very hot  So I let it cool down topped up the water and limped home steadily and fully bled the sytem, sat it on the drive running for 30 minutes without any problems, ordered a new Cooling fan. Sorted :)
Started the car the next morning and got a bubbling noise from the heater matrix and a whining from the engine. stopped the car checked the water level all seemed fine so drove to work, notice a bit of a misfire?
On the way home 2 miles from destination temperature light back and no hot air from the heater. Bled the system again that night.

My guess is the Head Gasket, anyone know how easy/hard it is to do, or can anyone recomend a garage in the Bath Bristol area
