Just thought id drop a line... Ive just picked up my new prde and joy, a 2000 W reg, Bravo 100sx in sky blue. 11k miles for £7200- not bad.

First, just a quick thanks to all who drop info on the forum- its been pretty invaluable.

Now onto my main point. As Ive had the car for well- 2 days Im pretty keen not to let some f***ing tea leaf make off with it. Now I know it comes with the fiat code immobiliser as standard, but I was wondering just how good is it? and if anyones got any reservations about it what would you recommend in terms of aftermarket security. I was thinking a Thatcham 1 alarm immobiliser.

Any comments/ suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers in advance.--- Mason

What Car tests

In the What Car security tests last year the bravo did ok. In essence they are easy to break into, about 2 seconds apparently, BUT once in they could not drive it away within the 5 minute cut off time which is all that thatcham alarms are guranteed to do.

So personally I havent bothered because they cant nick my car, I just dont leave anything valuable in it. If they want to vandleise it or tow it away there is not much an alarm could do apart from make a noise.

ITS UP TO YOU!!

(of course insurance may become cheaper)
