Hi everyone,
I introduced the subject. I have a FIAT 500L model year 2012 1,6 JTD 105ch S&S. I bought it in last april when outside temp was closed to 15°C.
when I tested it A/C was working at that time. This is the car of my wife so I didn't use it till recently.
Recently I felt that there is no cold coming from A/C. then started to check some stuff.
System was not short in gas. Tested and found that pressure ( at LP was 9,8 bars) in static.
When pressing A/C button, we can hear that the clutch of compressor is engaged rev is increasing a bit, radiator fan starts at low speed.
After less than one minute fan stopped and clutch is disengaged. I checked this visually and alos with Multiecuscan.
Then I was thinking that I was close to the limit in term of gaz, then I went to a mechanic who pull out the gaz, then use the vacuum function and then recharge the gaz.
Tested once done and no cold air coming, so we removed the gas from the car.
I checked today and found that the compressor is equiped with a clutch ( which is normal) and a ECV which is not connected.
I checked several times a wire to connect this ECV but never found, tried to find some DTC related to this but didn't find any code.
I tried to check with the parts and seems that normally this car doesn't have ECV only clutch.
My question, who knows how the ECV works.
I know this is managed by the ECU which is feeding it with PWM and normally 0V or 10% is almost off and then higher voltage means fully open.
but in case this ECV is not connected how the system can works?
Something is very strange.
just for information:
Pre-resistor is working
cabin air blower is working
thanks for your helps.
