General A bit of a leaf problem

Hey Guys

I have a Mk1 and there is this tree over my drive, and I get all the leaves and all the other rubbish that comes off the tree into my air vents. So I get all the rubbish blowen at me. It gets everywhere and in my eyes when I turn on the blowers . Is there anyway to stop all the rubbish getting into my vents and how can I clean all the s**t thats already in the vent system thing. My skill level is very basic when it comes to fixing cars lol.

There's a filter under the scuttle you can clean out.

The theory is there should be a grill on the top of the vent to stop whole leaves getting in. If you remove the leaves each week, then the problem should go away, eventually.

As you now seem to have leaf particles in the heater box, check that the rain vent on the bottom of the box is clear, if not, remove blockage.

If you take the blower motor out from the passenger footwell (a few screws and it drops down if i remember correctly) i found the fins to be choked up with leaves on mine...

My Dad uses one on his Audi TT in the garage, he's so pedantic it's crazy; it leaves no scratches at all...
