but im after some advice for the speakers in my new car, a nissan micra :S

No one on the micra forums seem to have the knowledge of you FF'ers so I thought id pick your brains.

standard speakers in my micra are a set of 6.5" coaxials, i wanna change this to a set of comps, ideally in the 50-100 quid range, anyone got any recommendations?

i have a mounting depth of less than 54mm.

I just bought some FLI components in the above size, not sure on quality as yet but they look the schnizzle...

They were £60 and they'll match my subs...

cheers guys, out of interest though do you know the depths of these speakers? or is the 54mm a standard depth, i dont really wanna have to make spacers for them.

The Rainbows have a mounting depth of 61/63mm and the JBLs have a mounting depth of 59mm.

Rainbows without a doubt 2nd to that focal's.

Thats all id think about now unless you were gonna spend more money then diamond would come into it as well.

Good, but as not as good as the Rainbows would be IMO
