Hi, Nige

When I bought my JTD105 Brava ELX last December, I was assured by the main dealer that it had every extra including ABS. I can`t find it anywhere and there is no dash light for it. It`s a `99 Mk 2. Do you know if it should have it?

Find a straight empty road, get up a bit of speed and jump on the break, that should clear things up.

hmmm. is it just me or does everyone else have a strange view of driving?

When i get a car the first thing i do to build my confidence in it is to thrash the hell out of it, brake as hard as i can, try force it to slide etc so i know what it can/can't do. Makes me feel a dam site more confident when im speeding down the narrow lanes with a 10ft dyke either side of me. At least then i know if i'm going to live or not when the tractor pulls out infront of me!

JUST SLAM ON THE F'IN BRAKES!!!!!!!!!!

I should hope it has, being a Mk2 ELX. Is there a yellow light next to the Handbrake warning light that goes off after a few seconds? If so then it almost certainly has got ABS.

I got sold exactly the same thing. My 99 yellow JTD HLX sold with everything from heated seats to abs, and can;t find abs and it does break like it has it either.....


Very strange!
