I understand that to covert to 98PCD on the rear, I need the stub axles and brake drum assembly, but can my existing 500R bearing carrier be used? Also are any of the brake drum assembly parts interchangeable?

As far as I am aware, the bearing carrier IS the same. A source for 2nd hand 126 parts is:--Lucasz, at 'L.P. Garage, Sudbury (Suffolk)--he is 'on-line' and is a very helpful guy. I have done a lot of business with Lucasz, so if you want to us my name (Tom Montagu) as an 'introduction', feel free to do so. To up-rate the fronts to 98pcd,you WILL need Mk2 (652cc) 126 king-pin carries (uprights). The springs and top wishbones of the 500 can be retained.
