Technical 9 speed auto oil level

Technical 9 speed auto oil level

I've successfully check the oil level using this chart. At 50 degrees with engine running in P need to have 26mm on the dipstick. According to a guy from internet I've choose a plastic zip tie marked at 26mm and it was better to see the oil. Good luck!

Great info. I have Fiat Ducato 2022 with the ZF 948TE. I notice that the fluid level chart you have from ATSG is different than normal fluid level charts. I wonder which one is correct?

You have the opportunity to measure yours before replace oil, if is an untouched transmission.

That should be the most conclusive.

All found informations on internet are for jeep, even is the same transmission code.

Morning. I reached out to ATRA and to ATSG and both came back claiming their chart is the right one🤔. So I guess the only way to find out what is right is to get hold of the chart in the Fiat Ducato service manual. Any one have any idea how?

We already know that it requires 6L, but when you change the oil or empty the transmission to replace it, etc., not all the oil flows out of it. Same for torque converter.

That's exactly what I did after installing the transmission, after 6l the filling level was almost near the filling screw. Comparing with the chart i deduced i have a problem with overfilling and need to extract 3-4L out. :))

The most relevant is to take level before oil replacement, you can use dipstick method or a container where to collect old oil. After weighing, put back the same amount as you took out. Of course you need to be sure that you are the first one who service this transmission. Hope to find one virgin next months.

Btw, I have almost 5000km since I installed this transmission and I leveled it to 26mm and I am perfectly happy with the improvement. Today I also trail the 2000kg trailer with my camper and it runs very nicely. The performance is much improved compared to the manual transmission.
