8v or 16v. How do I know?

I have a fiat grande punto 1.9 diesel.

How can I check if it's the 8v (120bhp) or the 16v (150bhp)

How can I check if it's the 8v (120bhp) or the 16v (150bhp)

mechanically - one will have a single camshaft, the other will have 2 ( driving 8 valves each)

in the UK the VED / car tax will probably change too,

use SEARCH to find images.. the covers on top of the engine are probably individual to the different engine styles.
