I just purchased an 82 Fiat Spider Pinn. & I seem to think that I'm getting a lot of engine heat in the 'cabin' of the car. I had one about 10 yrs ago and don't remember the interior heating up this much. The temp gauge shows 190 - 200 degrees, nothing out of the ordinary. Just wanted to see if anyone out there in the forum might have any comments.

Thanks,
Rich

mine seemed to be doing the same thing ,but was allso running alittle hot too but bypassed the heater core and found i had a pretty big airpocket the cooling system after bleeding and burpn the hell out of it all seems to be good now and not getting the extra heat in the cabin area ........so i think somthings sticking , but dont need the heat right now lol

Also check the inner shifter boot. They are rubber and tend to tear and rip over time; when this happens, a lot of heat will enter the cabin through the shifter opening.
