Ahh...I just bought a 1982 Fiat Spider site unseen and am totally new to the world of Fiats!
The car is in decent mechanical order....as in it starts when you turn the key, drives smooth, and is not making an weird noises. However, being totally new to this, I'd love any insights, suggestions, or recommendations to help me on this adventure.
Thanks in advance!

- Watch outs? Any known, chronic failure points of these cars that I should proactively address?
- Wiring / electric issues? Wiring under the dash is a mess. HVAC system is completely inop but all other systems seem to work though.
- Mechanics?! Anyone know of a garage or mechanic in the NH, MA, ME area (or New England more broadly). I called the local foreign import guy (who does work on older imports) and as soon as I said Fiat he basically hung up on me.
- Threads / YouTube recs? Are there key threads on this forum I should read? Any good YouTube channels/videos for Fiats particularly 124 Spiders?
- ANSA exhaust (half exhaust, cat delete/test pipe)
- Thermostat and cooling fan
- Alternator
- Starter
- Timing belt
- Front and rear dampers
- Front and rear brake calipers, rotors, pads
Thanks in advance!
