Hi everyone
I got a 600e in April - family has loved it so far and managed some big roadtrips (first EV, not disappointed)

However, the infotainment keeps asking to update when I finish a drive. Turn car off, hit ok. Installation begins, hits 5%, then “installation failed”. Tells me to contact customer support.

I’ve called Fiat, they tell me to call my dealer. I call my dealer and they’ve said they don’t think they can do anything because it’s an over the wire update.

I’ve tried restoring to factory default, made no difference.

Anyone had similar issue or have ideas to resolve? It doesn’t stop the core car function working, it’s just a bit irritating…

The full error notification (after it has failed) is:

is your 600E linked to your home network - I find that linking my car to my home network allows me to complete any updates outside my house and it links to my internet - I also find that during the winter months when I precondition my car first thing in the morning before I leave I noticed alot of updates took place then when it was on using the precon and it could connect to my home internet - try connecting home in the settings and hopefully it will allow a stable connection for the full update most of the time mine now updates whilst outside the house and often tells me to drive for 10 minutes after installing so it can fully update this is mostly for the bigger updates

It’s been connected to my home WiFi from when we first got the car. I’m pretty sure there’s no issue with the update download, just the installation once it’s downloaded. The fact it fails at 5% every time suggests there’s the same error / failure happening each time but obviously there’s no detail about the error.

I guess I’ll have to push back again to Fiat - or physically take it into a service centre?

Do you know where I can get details on what the updates are actually for / the release notes? Struggling to find anywhere

Scratch that - I just reset the WiFi and reconnected. It’s then done the July update (previous may and June updates failed). Hopefully that’s covered it!

Thank you!
