Technical 500L diesel issue

My mums got a 2014 diesel 500L been faultless for its last 118’000 miles but it gave out a check engine light, did a scan and it says it’s a particle filter pressure problem. She took it and had dog replaced but not fixed it. Almost like limp mode surging and won’t go above 50 mph really, she’s had it to her local garage who can’t figure out the root cause now DPF is done. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

So is the “check engine light” back on again or is it down on power with no engine light?

Hi the check engine light is on again. I’d done a regen on it just in case but it’s not done anything
