Yes the 126 flywheel is about 2kgs heavier than the 500 but they are interchangeable so if you are tuning a 126 engine then a 500 one will give you a lighter flywheel.

I have a question about going the other way --- and replacing the flywheel in my 500F with a heavier one. The one in there now weighs 5.77 kg (12.7 lbs), and I have one from a 126 I believe that weighs 7.27 kg (16.0 lbs). Would there be any advantages in doing this for a daily driver car? Would it make the acceleration too slow? The engine runs OK, but would it smooth it out even more?

I would NOT fit the heavier flywheel--there is a very good chance that it would have a detrimental effect on engine 'pick-up' (and therefore, acceleration). If the factory had thought that it needed a heavier flywheel for every-day running about, I am pretty darn sure that they would have fitted one! Leave well alone.
