500 launch in Wakefield

Is anybody from here going to the 500 launch at Piccadilly, in Wakefield?

i was at glynn hopkin, horsforth/leeds, last week getting the prestigio serviced and they were anticipating an enourmous turnout for the launch. they had 2 in the showroom under wraps and told me that they have never seen a new fiat receive so much attention / anticipation.

looking good!

may be time to bin the punto toy....

i've got a feelin that theres going to be millions of these cars on the road in the next 6months or so! i was thinkin about swapping my GP but i think it would be too small for me.

I'll be there in my blue Gp with side stripes and fiat forum stickers and plates so if you see me say hello!

i went to the launch of the new bravo last summer and there was hardly anyone there, it was probably because it was absolutely chucking it down.

it was on the way back when my car got swamped by the floods

im sure more will turn out for the 500 as its been more 'hyped'.

such as i received my invite nearly 3 weeks ago, whereas for the bravo i got it about 2 or 3 days before

i went to the bravo one and i agree there was nobody there hardly. V nice car though i had a go in the 150 Tjet and the 120 Mjet prefered the diesel nicer interior!

i had a go in them to :D

i went in the tjet petrol model (they have the same indicator/wiper stalks/light stalks as the stilo )

i was driving it like i would my diesel stilo (i.e. hardly any revs), and thought it was quite slow :D

then the road test guy told me to push it more into the upper rev range then it flew :p

i am temted to go now, but i didnt ring up to book my place, and also i have been told not to drive for 4-6 hours, but i feel fine :D:eek:

and plus im still under the numbness of the anaesthetic so in a few hours i might be in a lot more pain
