Just wondering if anyone's 4x4 came with Mud & Snow tyres (like on the old 4x4), mine came with Winter tyres (Conti Cross Contacts) these were impossible to get hold off when I got a puncture and aren't going to be ideal when its 30 in the shade.

As far as I know, all 4x4 and trekking models are fitted with conti cross contact winter.

I bought a set of alloys and summer tyres to use in the warm months and keep the winter wheels for cold months.
It may seem extravagant but aside from the initial cost of the alloys the tyres will wear over mileage hopefully better than 1 winter or 1 summer set?

The snag with the continentals cross contact winters was that I couldn't get any when I had a puncture and that was in mid winter, zero chance of getting winters here in midsummer.

Just wondering if I should go for Mud & snow tyres.

There in lies the problem, I was hoping that Fiat might point me in the right direction but sadly not.

I'll post up what I end up getting but if anybody has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

There is an off road tyre available in the right size. It's a remould though and has a very low speed rating.
Personally I wouldn't use it on the road at all

Fedima make competition tyres in the right size.

Again, the suitability for normal road use is in question.

If bfgoodrich made the all terrain in 175/65/15 I'd get a set. They don't, and I doubt they ever will.

Hi Guys,

Just put in the details for the new TA $X$ Panda on mytyres website....loads of options, including my second favourite tyre Nokian WR D3 (not quite as good as Gislaveds.... really rare.... ho hum). But plenty of choice :)

I think RS4 was looking for an all terrain type tyre rather than winter tyres :)

Btw, I have nokian wr a3 winters for my bus. I like them so much I've just bought a set of nokian Z G2
Summer tyres for it. Great tyres.
