Haven't seen or heard of any reports of 4x4 transmission problems to date, there's enough 4x4 Pandas around in heavy winter conditions in Europe to bring any problems to light though. Maybe as the model gets older we might see some problems due to wear, but seems strong. No problems on mine so far.
